By 1972, the second-generation Chevelle had reached its final model year, closing one of the greatest chapters in Chevrolet muscle car history. Factory 454-powered Chevelles were scarce, with historical records citing approximately 5,333 LS5-equipped examples for the year. While this car's original configuration is not stated, its 454 cubic-inch heart delivers the big-block attitude collectors still chase today.
Finished in red with black accents, this two-door Chevelle has the stance and swagger the body style deserves. A cowl induction hood and classic Cragar S/S wheels bring plenty of period-correct street-machine flavor, while driver-quality paint means it can be enjoyed without treating every parking lot like a danger zone. Inside, a black bench seat and column shifter preserve the straightforward character of a proper American muscle coupe.
The 454ci V8 is backed by a tough Turbo 400 automatic and sharpened with an Edelbrock aluminum intake, Edelbrock carburetor, long-tube headers, dual exhaust, and an aftermarket front drive. An aluminum radiator with dual electric fans helps keep the big block cool when the pavement gets hot.
Underneath, this Chevelle is far more capable than a stock cruiser. Tubular upper and lower front control arms, UMI rear control arms, rear coilovers, AFCO adjustable shocks, and front and rear sway bars give the chassis a serious hardware upgrade. Front disc brakes, power brakes, and power steering add the confidence and usability needed for real-world driving.
This is the kind of Chevelle built to rumble into a cruise night, carve through a back road, and deliver that unmistakable big-block punch whenever the throttle opens. It combines one of Chevrolet's most desirable body styles with proven performance parts and an honest, ready-to-drive personality.
